HOW IT WORKS
Each EFL matchday, mainly Saturdays, with the occasional Tuesday, plus Good Friday and Easter Monday, 36 teams (12 from each of the three leagues) are selected to be included in the game. 1-12 Championship, 13-24 League One, and 25-36 League Two.
The teams are listed in alphabetical order starting with the home teams — if there are fewer than 12 fixtures, the list will be made up to the required 12 by adding the away teams starting from the top of the fixture list.
If there are fewer than six fixtures in any of the leagues, then the list will be made up to 12 by adding the away teams from the other leagues in order of seniority.
Once the list for each matchday is complete, and after the fixtures have been played, each team will be given a score.
The score is the time in minutes that the FIRST goal is scored — if any team fails to score, they will be given 0.
When a team scores their first goal in time added on they will be awarded the 40/90 plus the time added on.
All own goals are given a score of 0.
The winner of the game is the person who has predicted the six teams who have scored the six latest first goals.
That is the time in minutes that the first goal is scored by the selected club on the given matchday.
There are numerous ways of presenting this game, reducing or increasing the numbers of teams in the grid, or increasing or reducing the numbers to predict.
The novelty of this game, regardless of the above, is to predict the teams that will score the latest first goal on any given matchday.
